Rudesheim
Small touristy town in the Rhine Valley (famous wine producing region). Cute narrow streets, but it's not very obvious to the eye if it was built this way from the beginning or just "made this way" for the tourists.
We arrived around 9 am so the streets were completely empty. And not a place open to have breakfast.
There's a ferry that takes you to the other side of the river, offering the most beautiful perspectives.
Castle
On the other side there's an old castle, owners actually live there!
The castle originally belonged to some German Prince (apparently there are sooo many of them) , the current owners bought it 15 years ago. They have restored it and have been keeping it up ever since. There are guided excursions, but since we arrived on Monday there were just 4-5 other people there.
It is not as big as the others but very cosy and "real". It is located at the very top of the hill so it takes about 20 mins to get up there, but the view is just breathtaking!
Gates to the castle
Actual graves of some german aristocrats that lived here...
Little garden full of beautiful roses of all colors and aromas…
Views are something else!
