Leipzig
We expected more of this city, but, apperantly it had suffered a lot during the war as well... In some areas you could see a half destroyed building (still!)
surrounded with the quite restored ones.
The hotel we stayed in Hotel Fuerstenhof.
Football is in the air...
Our second game was in Leipzig - Argentina vs Mexico. On the way to the stadium, VAMOS AGRENTINA!!!
Check out the size of the beer glass!
Argentina's drummers - the best fans in the world. As we've learned there are 4 chants and they come in a particular times during the game!
These drummers follow their team to all games - this time, however, stadium manager was giving them a hard time entering, saying that the drums were too big.
We actually had to put in our 2 cents:) But just then some guy jumped the wall without the ticket and all the concerned managers started looking for him
so the drummers made it in to everyone's exultance.
As Argentina's fans started gathering, the drummers began "Vamos, Vamos Argentina!" - everyone joined in and it lasted for about 45 mins!
Out new friend - Rolando Ossowski - an argentinean from DC :) Awesome guy, speaks several languages (including Russian!).
He was quite surprised to see russian fans of Argentina.
Fans of Mexico team. We learned to do "puto" from them!
ARGENTINA HAS WON!!!!!! 2-1!!! It is an amazing feeling to see your team come to thank the fans... (and see Messi half naked! :)
