Cologne
So... Here we are, out of the hotel and ready for our first beer :)
The hotel we stayed in has a pretty good location - about 10 mins walking from the Dom. Some interesting buildings on the way there..
The Koln Dom is amazing and actually impressed us more than Notre Damme de Paris.
There was a FIFA fanfest set up right in front of the Dom but you didn't have to be there because each and every bar/restaurant had at least 1-2 TVs outside for watching the game. Crazy english fans were singing "Vindaloo" and other "go england" songs and drinking starting 9 in the morning. Everyone was friendly - no mater what country, team, race you represented and everyone cheered each other's team's pride. While watching USA play against Italy, we met a geeky british couple who paid about $18,000 to watch 3 England games. Actual face value of their tickets was $750.
}|{Eka's nose did not disappoint - he found the sausage grill within 10 mins.
By the river there are bunch of restaurants with seats outside - the perfect place for watching football game on TV while drinking a beer. Lot's of people just chilling on the grass...
Drummers performing on the plaza in front of the Dom.
Train station.
By the river, waiting for the cruise ship, having breakfast...
It seems like everyone is in the spirit of the game... }|{eka is trying on our Argentina colors.
}|{Eka's favorite pictures: feet :)
Brazil is playing today!
Some of us have never been to "komnata smexa"...
